Ariel, thanks for the Venture Cafe mention!

All, Ariel is a frequent visitor to the cafe, so if you'd like to see him in person, stop by some Thursday between 3 and 6pm.

If you're interested in hearing about a lot of the latest initiatives from the perspective of someone in the middle of it all, I wrote a series of posts about it:

1) What Young Entrepreneurs are doing:

2) What Established Members are doing:

3) Issues that still need work:

There sure are a lot more events now than there were a few years ago. But I think the real test is: are there more seed fundings happening now? Boston needs to be a bit more vocal on very early stage funding successes. That's what sparks lots of quick innovation in the area and generates a lot of new potential winners.

Ariel,

Thank you for the mention. Greenhorn Connect actually launched in November 2009, so we're much newer than you may think.

There are a ton of awesome initiatives in the works from both new and established entrepreneurs and investors. The really fascinating thing to me is how much has sprung up from lesser known and new members of the community; the entrepreneurial spirit seems to be spreading with few limits and no bias for experience or connections to make things happen.

Thanks,
Jason

ps: It would be awesome if Pop Signal would support Greenhorn Connect with a mention under their resource tab since we already list over 300 hundred Boston Resources for entrepreneurs and startups that they touch on partially here at the Pop Signal site.
